This scholarship fund is in memory of Virginia Firriolo, and managed by her son and his family. Virginia was a longtime parishioner of St. Luke’s since moving to Waldwick in 1962. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, and was a loving mother, caring wife, and devoted sister and daughter. Her sister, Marie Fabano, said, “God blessed me with a special sister, beautiful inside and out. For as long as I can remember, her unconditional love was always there for me and our family. We would spend hours together during the day and more hours talking and laughing on the phone each night. Nothing was more important to her than her family, and I know she’s watching over us.”

Always a hard worker, Virginia was employed by many small businesses in the Waldwick community, yet always found time to be involved in St. Luke’s school activities, where her three children attended elementary school. If you embody virtues that Virginia Firriolo held so dear, family, faith, community, and service, and you want to make a positive difference in the world, then this scholarship may be a good fit for you!

The Virginia Firriolo Memorial Scholarship is issuing a $5,000 scholarship to prospective or current college students. This scholarship is for students who are members of St. Luke's parish and is need-based.
